  • What services do you offer?
B.I.O. PT is a full service physical therapy practice offering outpatient services. We also offer wellness services such as strength and conditioning, body composition analysis, and injury prevention.
  • Can I book appointments online?
Not at this time. Prior to scheduling your first visit, we prefer to set up a phone conference with you to make sure your needs are a perfect fit for our services. Also, we want to get a good understanding of your circumstances so we can make sure your first visit with us is amazing. After the initial in-person session, your physical therapist will coordinate the scheduling of future visits directly with you.
  • Do you accept walk-ins?
No. Visits are by appointment only so we know to expect you and can properly prepare for your visit.
  • Do I need a perscription from a doctor in order to receive physical therapy treatment?
No. Physical therapists in the state of California have direct patient access. This means, a doctor referral or perscription is not required for physical therapy. Doctors of Physical Therapy have many tools and techniques to identify and treat many injuries and conditions without the need for imaging or intervention of a medical doctor. If we believe you need a medical doctor's attention, we will refer you to your medical doctor for follow up.
  • Where are you located?
Our practice is located in beautiful Piedmont, CA on the corner of Grand Avenue and Linda Avenue. We are on the second floor in Suite #201. Look for the door with our beautiful gold foil logo. Our address is 1375 Grand Avenue, Suite #201, Pieldmont, CA 94610. Click the link to get directions.

Yes. There is free parking in the parking lot behind the building. The entrance to the parking lot is located on Linda Avenue. There is also ample free street parking; just be careful to read parking signs for restrictions and hours.
  • What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable workout clothes and athletic footwear that allow you freely move and exercise. If possible, wear clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area. For example, wear shorts if you are visiting us for a knee issue.
  • What is the price for a visit?
Your physical therapist will discuss visit prices and options during your in-take call. Additional costs will be determined by the treatment plan proposed by your physical therapist.
  • Which forms of payment may I use for my visit?
Only credit card payments are accepted. We accept Mastercard and Visa credit cards. You can provide your credit card number at the time of your visit, or more conveniently, safely store it with your online profile for a streamlined payment experience. Checks and cash payments are not accepted.
  • Am I required to add a payment credit card to my profile?
Credit cards may be securely stored with your profile and used for convenient payments. It is not required but certainly streamlines the payment process. If you choose to not store your credit card with your profile, you may provide payment at the time of your visit.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that sometimes life happens and your plans change or get disrupted. That's fine! Just let us know more than 24 hours before your appointment time and no cancel fee will be applied. That way we can schedule the appointment time with another client and help them get better! If you cancel for any reason less than 24 hours before your appointment, or no-show, then you will be charged a 100% late cancellation fee. Cancellation fees are non-refundable and cannot be applied towards a future session. If the appointment subject to a late cancellation penalty was part of a wellness pack, then you will retain the pack visit, but will be charged the original full cash value for the visit, not the discounted pack price. We want to maintain a healthy environment for our team, patients, and clients. You can help. Avoid coming to the clinic If you are ill. Feeling sick? Contact us before your scheduled appointment and we will reschedule your visit.
  • What if I’m running late for my appointment?
If you are running late for your appointment please contact us and let us know so we won't worry about you. It's best to ensure that you store your mobile phone number with your profile so we can easily contact you to make accomodations. Remember that if you arrive after the 15 minute grace period you will be considered a no-show and charged a late non-refundable cancellation/no-show fee. Additionally, you will need to reschedule your appointment for a later time.
  • Do you accept insurance?
B.I.O. PT does not participate in any insurance networks. If you would like to use your insurance, we will gladly provide you with a super-bill with treatment codes that you may submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement. You will be required to pay B.I.O. for your physical therapy at the time services are rendered. We cannot guarantee that you will be reimbursed by your insurance company nor can we estimate the amount of possible reimbursement. Remember, a super-bill is only available for physical therapy services. We will not provide a super-bill for wellness services. A receipt for services rendered will be provided for all visits.
  • Why don’t you accept insurance?
Our aim at B.I.O. PT is to provide the best care that we can for each patient during every visit. To do this, we believe we need the freedom to use the best tools and skills available to us as physical thereapists without the constraints of billing codes and reimbursement rates dictated by insurance companies. Therefore, we have elected to not particpate in insurance networks.
  • How do I get a super bill?
Simply ask. You will need to make it clear to your physical therapist during your first visit that you plan to submit the charges to your insurance company. This means that your therapist will take the appropriate steps to prepare your treatment notes for your super-bill.
  • What if my insurance company won’t reimburse me?
We cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you even with the super-bill we provide. We hope that you still enjoyed our services and that we were able to help you reach your physical therapy goals.
